The Little Things, by Andrea Gómez

I am a victim of the coronavirus. At this moment I am in a hospital room. I can’t go out. I see the doctors dressed up with masks and special suits. I can’t handle it, I need human contact. A hug. A kiss. Whatever… It’s been 15 days since I left that room. Yes, I have overcome it. Now, I’m going for a walk with my daughter after so long… I appreciate the little things: a smile, a caress or a simple “mom”. We should learn to enjoy life. Believe me, it’s incredible. “Alicia! Don’t take that!”
